When winter weather hits, we usually think about two important things: staying warm and staying safe.
Ice, snow, and cold temperatures can create many hazards during the winter months, causing slips, trips, and falls. At Greely Sand & Gravel, we are always ready to provide you with top quality de-icing products to ensure that your steps, walkways, and driveway remain safe this winter. We are excited to introduce some brand new winter products that are available to our customers this year!
The first new product we are offering is Ice Melting Rock Salt. This product is perfect for your steps, walkways, and driveways as it is easy to apply and works quickly to melt even thick layers of ice. This product is available for pick up at our South-end Landscape Depot in convenient 10kg or 20kg bags. Or you can try our Yukon Ice Melter in 10 kg or 20 kg bags. Yukon fast-acting Ice Melter is a blend of sodium chloride and calcium chloride producing heat to melt snow and ice instantly in the most extreme winter conditions. It is effect down to -30°C!
For those with longer driveways or just more space to cover, we now offer a convenient salt bin that can hold up to 140kg of salt. This rugged, waterproof, durable bin can be placed wherever you need it on your property and filled with either bagged or loose salt or sand. A salt bin is the perfect solution for those who want to be prepared and don’t want to have to worry about running out of salt or having to go out in bad weather to restock.
To complete your winter weather preparations, you can now pick up snow shovels at our South-end Landscape Depot when you come for your salt. We have carefully selected an effective, lightweight snow moving shovel that is perfect for clearing your driveways, steps, and sidewalks.
